Mozelle Marbut, 93, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Keene, Texas. Mozelle was born in Cleburne, Texas on November 30, 1924, to Owen Howard and Sylvia Rayburn. Mozelle worked as a seamstress for most of her life and enjoyed being with her family. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her step-mother, Thelma Rayburn, her husband, Lester Norfleet Marbut, her brothers, Lloyd aka "Son", and Doyle, and her sisters, Betty, Johnnie, and Lyvone. Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Robert E Marbut from Weatherford, TX, Alan R Marbut and his spouse Vicki from Fort Worth, TX, Lou Ann Blakeman and her spouse Joe from Granbury, TX, and Sylvia Wiggins from Joshua, TX. Mozelle had five children, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
Mozelle was a Christian and loved the Lord and raised her children up in the admonition of the Lord. She loved going to church and especially listening to the old gospel music. She would have her gospel music playing and singing most of the time when she was at home. Her passion was quilting, sewing, gardening, fishing, and country and western dancing. Mozelle enjoyed life to the fullest and loved making people laugh even if it made her look silly. She loved all little children and they brought such joy to her life. The last few years of her life in the Nursing Home brought joy and entertainment to everyone. Mozelle was greatly loved by all and will be truly missed.
