Charles Dalton Williams, age 69, succumbed to cancer on April 18, 2018, while at the Hospice House in Burleson, Texas. Dalton was born on March 5, 1949. He was also a United States Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Williams,, from Tutwiler, Mississippi and his brother, Carl Williams from Germantown, Tennessee and a grandson, William Temple, from Harrisburg, Arkansas. Dalton, a welder by trade, was raised in the Cagel’s Crossing Community, Mississippi. He lived on a farm, especially enjoyed fishing and loved his Delta roots. Dalton also leaves his 92-year-old mother, Juanita Williams, from Everman, Texas.
Dalton had one daughter, Tisha Williams Temple (& David) from Harrisburg, Arkansas. He also had four grandsons who will be serving as honorary pall bearers, Austin Beggs, Kaden Beggs, Elijah Temple and Dalton Temple from Harrisburg, Arkansas. The deceased had one brother remaining, Nelson Williams (& Norma) from Alvarado, Texas, and three sisters, Patricia Melton (& Buddy,) Alvarado, Texas, Charlotte Winters, Cleburne, Texas, and Pam Johnson (& Wayne,) Tutwiler, Mississippi.
Visitation and funeral arrangements have been made with Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, 200 E Patton Avenue, Alvarado, Texas. Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, April 19, 6-8 p.m.; funeral services are Friday, April 20, 3:00 p.m.; and a military burial is planned on Tuesday, April 24, 10:15 a.m. in the DFW National Memorial Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas. All family and friends are invited to attend Dalton’s celebration of life.
