Virginia Pearl (Thompson) Baker

March 26, 1943 ~ April 1, 2018 (age 75)

Virginia Pearl Baker age 75 from Crowley, Texas went to be with her Lord on April 1, 2018. She was born on March 26, 1943 in Johnson County to Charles Monroe Thompson and Venous Virginia Thompson(Ford). She was an amazing example of a parent devoted to improving herself and providing for her children. She proudly received her High School diploma in her 40's and went on to further her education with an Associate degree in Business. Before that she worked 2 jobs and raised 3 children for 8 years as a single parent. She really loved being a member of Silver Sneakers at Huguley Fitness Center. She would tell her daughter that the people she went to work out with were her friends. They would sometimes have coffee before working out and just laugh and visit. She loved this! She was an avid Gardner. She loved growing vegetables and also loved to grow flowers. She spent many hours pidling in her backyard.

The joy in her life was her children Joe Baker(Debbie), Claudia Montgomery(Kenneth), Jesse Baker(Kim), 7 Grandkids- James, Brandi, Matt, Mindy, Brittany, Jessica, Lauren, 9 great grandchildren, and her dear friend Jackie Parks, her dogs Romeo and Freckles that she lovingly referred to as her "boys". She loved her stepmother Virgie Thompson also known as Little Granny. She was blessed with siblings Leona Hickey, Ed Pfaff, Valerie Ballard, Connie Carpenter, and Robin Price. She is proceeded in death by Father- Jack Thompson, Mother- Virginia Pfaff, Stepfather Edgar Pfaff, Brother- Dallas Ray Thompson, and Grandson Jeremy Baker. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to Grace Baptist Childrens Ministry.
