Ola Jane (Sugar) Howard Bradley, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2017. She was 87 years. She passed peacefully at home.
Born in Ft. Worth, TX on January 16, 1930, Jane was the daughter and only child of John Claude Howard and Josephine Evelyn Jenkins Howard.
Jane married Sammie David Bradley Jr. in October of 1947. Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvarado.
She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone in Dallas in her earlier years. After moving to Temple, Texas in the 1960's, Jane went to work as Secretary in Belton, Texas for Continental Belton Company. After returning to Alvarado, Jane worked for Alvarado ISD before she became a homemaker and caregiver for her mother. Jane painted in earlier years and played the piano. Jane loved her children Dee Carter Bradley and Claudia Martin and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Sammie David Bradley Jr. and her parents Claude and Josephine Howard. She is survived by her children Dee Carter Bradley and wife Kristi of Vallejo California; Claudia Martin and husband Larry of Alvarado, Texas; Three grandsons, Randy Parker and wife Shara of Alvarado, Beau Brown and wife Jessica of Alvarado, Chris Martin of Aurora, Missouri; Eight great grandchildren, Reed Parker, Garret Parker, Braydon Parker, Codi Parker, Sammie Jane Parker, Jake Pollitt, Anthony Brown and Aubrey Brown.
