James Edward StufflebemeJanuary 10, 1966 ~ October 13, 2017 (age 51)
James “Jim” Edward Stufflebeme, age 51, of Itasca, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 13. He was born January 10, 1966, to Kenneth and Edwina (Klatte) Stufflebeme. Jim was a 1984 graduate of Itasca High School and attended Texas A&M University. Before recently retiring, he served over 20 years as a Fort Worth Police Officer. Jim was well-known and well-loved throughout the Itasca and Fort Worth communities. He had a big heart and didn’t think twice about giving all of himself to others. He was strong and dedicated to his work and as well as those around him – particularly his parents whom he cared for and adored. Jim truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He was a quick-witted and a good-natured person who loved his dogs (Spot and Sugar), the outdoors, fishing, firearms, Aggie football, good food and great whiskey. He had a knack for remembering details and was an amazing storyteller. Jim was a friend to all and a friend for life. To know him was to truly love him. Jim is survived by his loving mother, Edwina; beloved older brother, Mike, and his wife, Lauri, Stufflebeme of Houston; nephews, Zachary and Spencer; special aunts and uncles; many cousins; a whole-host of best friends – most he’s known from childhood; and his fellow Fort Worth police family. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth. On Thursday, October 19, family, friends, and others whose lives Jim touched are invited to the CLAYTON KAY FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Main St. in Itasca for visitation from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Itasca. Please join the family at a reception held immediately following the graveside service at the First Presbyterian Church.
