Danakah Elaine Abels gained her wings at 4:24 pm January 26, 2018. Danakah was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare bone disease. Danakah fought this horrible disease with her strong faith and the love of her family and friends. Danakah always had a smile on her face and always had kinds words to speak to everyone. She loved playing volleyball and softball with her friends and classmates from Covington ISD. When not playing, she still went to cheer her friends on to victory. Not a day went by that she did not want to be surrounded by her loved ones
Danakah was born to James Jackson and Natalie Abels in Fort Worth, Tx on September 17, 2001 and lived in Fort Worth until 2013. Danakah blessed her grandparents Jack and Abby Jackson on March 23, 2013 by coming to live with them. She loved her siblings, Breannah Peacock and Kyle Jackson. Danakah became a Christian on July 7, 2013 and loved her church family. She volunteered at the church work camps and attended church camp at Camp Tahkodah in Arkansas.
Danakah is proceeded in death by her maternal grandmother Deborah Kilgore of Fort Worth.
Danakah leaves behind her parents James Jackson of Fort Worth and Natalie Abels of Houston; her grandparents Jack and Abby Jackson of Covington,
sister Breannah Peacock of Covington, brother Kyle Jackson of Covington. Grandfather Jerry Abels of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and great uncle and aunt Linroy and Nona Kilgore of Uijeongbu, South Korea. Danakah leaves behind 3 best friends, Lexi Uselton, Breanna Todd and Erin Morgan; also all her classmates, numerous friends and family.
In lieu of flowers the family would love for donations to be made to the Covington Church of Christ camp fund so that other youth could enjoy summer camp as much as Danakah did.
A celebration of Life party will be giving on Saturday February 3,2018 at the Hilco Event Center in Itasca Tx from 12 noon till 3 pm.
A memorial will be held at the Covington Church of Christ on Sunday February 18, 2018 at 4 pm, followed with pizza in the church annex.
