Charles Freeman WilsonMay 17, 1922 ~ July 19, 2017 (age 95)
Charles Freeman Wilson, 95, was called home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Charles was born in Cumby, Texas on May 17, 1922, to John H. and Mary M. Wilson. He was a graduate of Keller High School and attended college at Texas Christian University. Duty called during World War II and Charles proudly served his country as a US Marine in the South Pacific campaign. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1982.
Charles and his late wife, Dana Bradley Wilson, shared 46 years of marital bliss before her death two years ago. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John W. Wilson, and a sister, Ruth Wilson Graham.
Anyone who ever met Charles, loved Charles.
Survivors include his sons, Harold Scott Ross and Steven Charles Ross and his wife, Lisa; two grandchildren, Bradley Ross and his wife, Niti, and Lauren Saldana and her husband, Jay; and four great-grandchildren, Amon, Isla, Jaxton and soon-to-be-born Parker; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Alvarado on Saturday, July 22, at 11:00 AM.
