Austin Bentley Clark Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Denison, Texas on February 12, 2018.
A.B. “Ben” was born in Denison, Texas to the late Gladys Ruth Robinson (Gus) and Willie V. Clark on August 25, 1942.
A.B. attended Denison High School and later joined the Air Force and served from 1960-1966. A.B. worked for the Frisco, Santa Fe, and Burlington Northern Railroads until his retirement in 2003. After his retirement, A.B. enjoyed raising dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, goats and donkeys with his wife Karen, of 30 years, until her death in 2006.
A.B. is survived by his siblings, Patricia McFarland (Johnny) of Azle, TX, Willie Clark (Kay) of Denison, TX, and sister-in-law Lisa Robinson of Denison, Tx. His 6 children, Austin Clark, of Fort Worth, TX, Wil Clark (Brian) of Marion, IL, Heidi Faulkner (Curtis), of Alvarado, TX, Heather West (Kenny), of Mansfield, TX, Craig Clark (Noel), of Fort Worth, TX, and Holly Cox (Brian) of Shell Knob, MO. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, A.B. was preceded in death by his wife Karen A. Clark, his brother Tom Robinson, and his sister Mary Robinson.
Per his request, A.B. will be cremated and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following charities:
